The Schabir Shaik Still Shaikin' Parole Clock

Email · Print

We're sure Schabir is doing his best to get well, so that he can return to prison and serve out the remainder of his debt to society. Here's a handy count-up clock so you can have a reminder of how many days he’s been out of jail with his regrettable, terminal illness.

But If you're tired of all the tick tock and just want to take action, don't forget to wish Schabir a speedy recovery. Send us a picture  of you with your "Get well soon Schabir Shaik" card, and we'll put it up on the internet for the world to see.  Each entrant will be entered into the Arms Deal Lucky Draw, and stand a really, really good chance of getting a kickback the next time one of our lovely politicians takes a bribe.

Shabir, you're a big, soft, pink, wet wussy! It also takes two to Tango, so that JZ guy is just as guilty, he just got away with it and you had to pay. But you can't take it like a man, because you're a little girl with a frilly dress and ponytails!
bob 3/3/2010 3:15 PM
Dear Shabir may you die sooner than later and may you take your criminal brother with you
MarcE 3/3/2010 2:01 PM
Whatever. Shaik, please hurry up and die already ...(and please...take ur scumbag bother with you)
schumi 3/3/2010 1:23 PM

Corruption is an illness therefore Shaik is very ill and will be have to be set free...That is the new law
Simon 12/21/2009 4:29 PM
Hahah I love these people that spring to Shaik's defence because "everyone else did it". Fools. That's no justification for letting anyone go.
Sean 9/13/2009 6:22 AM
It is a nice satire - like one from a MAD magazine. I feel sympathy for Shaik though, doing jail time is one thing, spending it in a rapist, corrupt, murderous South African Jail is another.

This is just sick (pun not intended). How would Jean Barker feel if the world made fun of her mother's incontinence problem or her father's Alzheimer's? Such a sick person you are Jean Barker.

If there's a God up there, he's chortling away. Do you guys do take out?
marcel 6/23/2009 10:56 PM
You sad bunch of Journalist. I sincerely hope that the guy that rapes your daughter and murders your mother for 5 bucks, goes to jail for 3 years (suspended over 3) so that maybe then you get a sense what is real. So, SS is a dude who did what more than 50% of the population do everyday, namely cheat to move forward in life, except he made more money with it that most and then got caught. And..??? What is so special about this, except that this whole thing has been a soley politically motivated set up and you sad bunch of (un)interlectual folk keep buying intom this. Oh well, have a few peanuts then....

Justice must prevail!!! Schabir just go back to where u temporary belong, and serve ur sentence... clock is ticking...
Sarah 4/20/2009 12:20 PM
Have only tuned in to Cape Talk after a long break, and think I will make it a longer break. This is so crude and nasty, journalism sunk to a really new low. I am amazed John Maytham is promoting it.
Andre 4/7/2009 11:54 AM
Shaik, Rattle nd Roll !!! 'Shaik' the judicial system, 'Rattle' the prison bars and go home to 'roll' in your frauded millions
Tim 3/26/2009 10:21 AM
Dear Schabir, hypertense, when will your jail time recommence? It seems the doctors all agree: a big mac a day will keep you free.
Dudu 3/25/2009 2:12 PM
Advantages of being a fraudster in south africa when i grow up i want to be a criminal so that i can be famous n rich n rub shoulders with the whos who
Torq 3/18/2009 2:08 PM
You might as well add "months" and "years" to the clock as schabir has no intentions of leaving this planet.
Tom 3/12/2009 10:57 AM
He was convicted of fraud, it’s very possible that he has been fraudulently released!
preshen govender 3/12/2009 10:50 AM

Time for a "Shaik" up as well as in the government departments!!
News Reader 3/9/2009 4:37 PM
A small correction, if by some miracle he was to recover he would not have to return to jail. His parole is not contingent on his continued illness.
Sonny Cox 3/9/2009 10:18 AM
Shaik, you made your bed in prison, now go back and lie on it! Fraudsters don't cry, they push their time!
boela 3/8/2009 9:26 PM
SA's only Shaik, good luck , remember vengeance belongs to HIM
Thoile 3/8/2009 3:26 PM
