Are you Channel24's new intern?

2012-01-17 11:38

Channel24 is looking for a bright, energetic new intern to join our team!

This challenging position will see you having the time of your life, while also putting in the time. The guy or girl who lands the job should have an ardent passion for all things entertainment: from movies to music and celebrity gossip - with a flair for writing and a feel for the fast-paced world of online.

As an intern you'll assist Channel24's editorial team with producing, editing and loading content on South Africa's biggest entertainment website.

You should be able to string a good sentence together and have an eye for detail as you'll be producing, aggregating and editing news stories and photo galleries from around the world and web as they happen.

You'll also get to go out and about – interviewing the hottest artists and celebs, and covering the coolest events. And after attending the premieres, concerts and festivals and listening to the freshest new albums you'll get to have your voice heard by writing up opinionated and informed reviews and features.

A university degree is a must – preferably in the fields of English, communications or journalism. The ability to translate from Afrikaans to English will also be advantageous.

So if you think you have what it takes to be the new Channel24 intern, send your CV and an example of your work (Reviews, a column or feature articles) to recruit@sa.24.com.

Closing date for applications is 23 January 2012.

Should you not hear from us within 2 weeks from the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
