A short poem for Joost

I most definitely watched the episode of Carte Blanche and my heart too goes out to what once my favourite Rugby player.

Here a short poem that just popped into my head now after watching Joosie, now fully clothed and broken...
 
"Fallen Angel of the Field
Drop kicks no longer reach your toes,
Deep regrets radiate from your saddened eyes, But no one fully understands or knows.. or even Why..
 
Why You, Why not Me.. Or Why Me..?

No.... This is not a punishment, even though you may think it may be..
Bring back that Million Dollar Smile,
So you can brighten your heart and light up you kids' eyes, Even for the briefest of whiles..

Bury the anger and bury the pain, set your heart free again.. 
Throw that ball just one more time.. and never look back when you see that twinkle in your kids eyes."
