Joost was crucified by the media

I watched Carte Blanche's interview with Joost. My opinion about Joost has never changed.  He was an extremely fit and competent scrumhalf. I am a very strong young man that led from the front, and knew when to stop. I was dismayed by how the media crucified him about what remains personal and private issues.

Supersport "dumping" him as a presenter , because of what was obviously common blackmail was insensitive and outright stupid. The private lives or sex lives of presenters is none of my business. Their knowledge and competency of the sport they are commenting is what is and should be important.

Joost deserves our support and admiration for the way he is dealing with this destructive illness and his "don't quit" style.
