Lady Gaga wearing fur is 'disgusting'

We recently asked our readers what they think of the announcement of Lady Gaga performing in South Africa and whether they would've preferred it to be another musical act. This is what they had to say:

James Lewis: As Lady Gaga wears fur openly and flaunts it, I think it disgusting that we host such a poor example to humanity. I object to her tour in South Africa.

Karen M van den Heever: As an anti-fur activist and a Christian and someone that has not been brain washed by Gaga, I think she is a waste of time. She is a dangerous celebrity to have around.

Jeanarie Norquoy: I am not happy that Lady Gaga will be coming to SA, I don't like the woman and I feel that she has no morals! She went from being GREAT to just strange, skanky and rather gross! And the fact that the woman wears fur is just the tip of the iceberg for me!! BOYCOTT

Yvonne Kemp: My opinion is no. Her public persona does not reflect much moral sensitivity, and there are many other talented people who would entertain young people just as effectively, who don't choose (e.g.) to wear animal fur.

Danielle Blanchard: I think that her taste in clothing is atrocious and appears to condone the cruelty of animals which is really not acceptable.  I don't think it's fair that she wears fur and meat and flashes that all over the world.  The cruelty is so unnecessary... 

And regarding her music – I'm not her biggest fan and would have wanted someone else to come.  Mumford and Sons?  Radiohead?  Alanis Morisette?  Muse?  Smashing Pumpkins?  Florence and the Machine?  The Temper Trap?  Skunk Anansie?  Just some suggestions for next time.
