Although I really don't think that Lance meant any harm or to be nasty - he just doesn’t seem to be a nasty kind of guy - I do think that as a media celebrity Lance Witten was very silly to tweet something like that.

It unfortunately is a very insensitive thing to say, given that there are people close to that girl who are grieving her loss right now.

There really was no need for a comment like that. So yes, as nice a chap as Lance is, he was totally insensitive and reckless on a social media platform, and he does need to be censured for that.

Although I'm sure that in hindsight he's really regretful that he said that at all. He doesn't strike me as someone who would mean to say a thing that hurtful.
