Comedian Kurt Schoonraad went in search of his roots with a local version of the hit British series, Who Do You Think You Are? You can catch the show every Sunday on SABC2 at 9pm.
Kurt discovered that most of his family is from St Helena Bay from both sides, he says "it's like the Cape Flats on some other part of the planet, apparently the whole culture mix happened there already".
On whether he is really African or not, Kurt says "I think it's a question that's becoming obsolete at the moment" adding "I'd like to believe I'm a citizen of the world".
