Sasha Lee earns R22 000 for 45mins

Sasha Lee Davids, the Idol who didn't win, is reportedly receiving harassing phone calls from irate Jason Hartman fans.

Mynie Grové, music producer and spokesperson for the Davids family said the family had received "a few ugly phone calls" from Hartman fans.

Meanwhile, one of the judges, Mara Louw, called on Sasha-Lee to do the "honourable" thing and hand the title over to Jason.

"It wasn't Sasha-Lee's fault, but she mustn't be selfish now. Jason is the winner and finish."

But judge Randall Abrahams disagreed and said Sasha-Lee shouldn't be punished for something that wasn't her fault.

Should Sasha Lee step down as South Africa's "other" Idol? At a minimum of R22 000 a show, excluding food, flights and accommodation, would you?

But Sasha's voice is incredible! She has 3.5 octaves compared (the same range length as Leona and Beyonce) to his average range of two octaves. Sasha has more talent than Jason when voice is concerned and can sing anything, Mama Mia (ROCK) Run (Ballad) Listen (R&B) Spotlight (Contemporary) ext. Jason however can only sing one type of genre and is good in that. I do music as a subject and have five years of vocal experience that is how I know this. However ... I'll add Jason has the personality and stage presents. I personally don’t mind that they are Joint winners! Sasha is an idol; she is amazing and is South Africa's next Leona Lewis! Jason is our idol with his Brian Adams voice. I personally don’t feel that you can also compare a male and female voice, thus making it fairer. I mean who is better Josh Groban or Mariah Carey? ...You see you can’t answer that coz the one is an amazing female vocalist and the other and talented male vocalist! So I'm sorry Sasha is an idol! She is amazing and when looking at vocal ability and flexibility she has won.

Do not hand out your personal number or address once you are in the limelight 3. Let your agent do the talking /mailing on your new number / email address. 4. She must feel extremely dissapointment. However, fair is fair...I am sure she will come through and do the right thing at the end...good luck to them both.
