SA's Got Talent – The Finale

Email · Print

Six great performances, one amazing winner...

Last night, the performances went from just good enough to get through to too good not to.

It's fascinating how one push in the right direction and the chance of winning R250 000 can elevate someone's performance. All the contestants gave the crowd exactly what they were looking for. I don't know about you, but my heart was torn.

George beat on our heartstrings with a little kwaito riff and his impromptu tribute to Anele. He's so much fun to watch I'd put him on repeat if I had PVR.

Next up, Durban-based hip-hop dancer Darren Rajbal literally stole the show with his amazingly evocative and loaded dance moves. Dancing on his toes?! Magic! More than that, his thank you speech after his performance had me tjanking, trying hard not to miss any of the action through my 'wet eyes'.

The award for the most progress since the semis goes to Louwtjie Rothman. His act encompassed skill, 'dexterity' as Ian put it, and familiar tunes for the crowd to pick up on. He also focused more on entertaining the crowd than staring intently at his guitar, which took him from simply being a virtuoso to an electrifying act. I really hope someone gives this guy a lucky break.

Willem and Loui, Kalon and Cleo were also good, but the three finalists mentioned above provided the most entertainment. As such, I did a double take of WTF when Cleo came in third. It's so obvious that it was just the 'cute kid' vote. Speaking of kids, I wonder if Kalon's supposedly 'provocative' dancing the night before disadvantaged him in the final. I actually preferred his semi-final performance to last night's clearly watered-down Special Star routine.

So then it was George vs Darren. When George started whispering "it's got to be Darren, he deserves it", I was done for. Now I really love you, George! He was right, though.

Darren is SA's most talented performer. He's also incredibly humble, confident and funny. Congrats, dude.

It was a fantastic finale. No voting bungles (that we know of yet), no long, drawn out drama and a genuine all-round appreciation for everyone's ability and balls to get up on stage and do that. Even Randall's Mr Nice Guy attitude wasn't as infuriating as before. He was the only judge prepared to give a name. I always knew Shado was a real fence-sitter. She's still upset that Faith didn't make it through.

The question now is: was the show good enough to warrant a second season? Would you like to see if SA's Got MORE Talent? With a few tweaks, it could work...

What happens if he gets to a part of the song that has only treble in it ?
musicman 11/15/2009 8:52 PM
Some of you are complete morons! A deaf person can FEEL THE MUSIC because the vibrations do not just travel through the air, but through the ground and your body as well. Like why don't you do a course in Acoustic Phenomena. When I sit in my home I CAN FEEL this absolute crap that everyone plays in their cars and taxis with sub-sonic woofers. Of course they have no idea what it is doing to their brains (assuming they have one)and the fact that they feel free to inflict it on the whole neighbourhood shows that most of their cerebral cortex in non-functional. There are Concert Pianists who are deaf !!!!!!!!!!! How do you think they learn to play complicated classical music???????? Because they can FEEL the sounds and recognise them.
Benny 11/15/2009 8:33 PM
My favourite was Louwtjie because of his unique talent. I would have placed Kalon 2nd with a toss up between Darren and the brothers for third spot. I'd like to see a second show with the winners title change to "the most popular winner" if the public are going to vote for the finalists again and not the most talented.
Moza 11/15/2009 5:40 PM
Darren was Brilliant! and NO he would have Stopped should the music have been turned off! Well done Man! U make all of us in Durban Proud!!! But any hows at least this program proved one thing WE have Talent! Now its time for us to show this to the world !
Bra G 11/14/2009 4:14 PM
A worthy Winner! Why be bitter and write stuff that really will not change the result. All the contestants did great but the voting public expressed who they wanted to take the title. Go forward, Darren, in the light and the love that we all wish you. Peace, Bra G
tasha Oppermann 11/14/2009 1:14 PM
Verwys na Disagree se mening hierbo, jy is seker nie gehoor gestrem nie. So jy sal nie weet hoe dit moet wees om so goed te kan dans soos Darren sonder enige gehoor nie. Hy het dalk genoem dat hy 'n skool vir dowe kinders gaan oopmaak, of hy dit nou doen of nie, hy het beslis talent!!!!!!!!!!!! As jy so goed kan dans en ritme het terwyl jy eindelik doof is, DIS TALENT!!!!!!
Nunuzo 11/13/2009 4:54 PM
Well done Darren, i bow at George you are truly amazing & for what you did.People stop being nasty, if you didn't vote please keep quite & let us that vote have a say please.
Alda 11/13/2009 3:43 PM
I heard that George has been invited to be on Saturday night live. Wow
Amber 11/13/2009 3:37 PM
Darren you were a star !
Favourite Foot 11/13/2009 2:50 PM
So disappointing that there is no video anywhere of Darren's final performance on the internet. Please South Africa keep up with the world ! What is the internet for ? Favourite
Ugendren Pillay supporter 11/13/2009 2:50 PM
Pillay I totally agree with you 100%. I would have loved to see what happens when we turn of the music. Louwtjie was by far the most talented, and his act actually constituted talent and entertainment. Thank you SA for messing up a relatively good season of SA's got talent. Next time we might have someone else who garnishes symphathy votes.
Tshenolo 11/13/2009 2:19 PM
Darren deserved to win, if you don't like it then tough so stop all the nastiness its friday for heavens sake! George is an amazing entertainer, Cleo has an amazing voice for an eight year old and yep I proudly gave her the adorable princess vote. Of all the contestants though the one who I believe is going to make it very big possibly even internationally is Louwtjie Rothman that boy is talented and something else and I believe he got something much more important than the prize money and that is exposure. Can't wait to celebrate his grammys:-)
Anke Pretorius 11/13/2009 2:16 PM
Darren you rock! I feel so proud to be South African last night.Im not into hip-hop but after watching you Im a new convert. You are true inspiration. Well done!!!....and all you haters on here, just suck it!
Viddie 11/13/2009 2:10 PM
WOW, what a show. Regardless of who the winner was, I think all the finalists were FANTASTIC. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and I sincerely hope thet we are going to see more of it.
ASkepticToo 11/13/2009 1:47 PM
Sure, Darren is good, but I truly believe that the Capetonian guitar maestro should've won. It was all a matter of tugging people's heart strings, I guess. What the guitar-laying dude demonstrated was innovative, original and exciting.
@ Ugendren Pillay 11/13/2009 1:46 PM
Ugendren Pillay - You wont know talent if it kicked you in the face! Go and spout your unintelligible drivel somewhere else! Darren ROCKS!!!

@FB. George is a looker for sure....
Cassy 11/13/2009 1:21 PM
A BIG congrats to Darren Rajbal! You deserved to have won the award. U WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD! I must admit that second runner up George was absolutely brilliant too. A pity there could on only be one winner but that fact that Darren had an extra special gift made him steal our hearts! May you both continue to grow in strength! GOD BLESS!!!

@Ugendren Pillay,ur comments are truly idiotic. im sure he has more talent then u ever would. you should stop being a snotty in your emails. dont be a hater Congrats to Darren
NAOMI 11/13/2009 1:01 PM
I would really love to see a second season, the show fantastic as Ian keeps saying and i truely love all everything about it. Who knows maybe i'll be entering the competion next year.
Ishmael 11/13/2009 12:59 PM
I felt so proud to be South African. Being disabled doesn’t make you of a lesser person. Big up Darren, you are truly an insipration to the society. Cleo and George, you rock.
Ntsako 11/13/2009 12:53 PM
I have to agree with some of the people when they say Darren won because people were sympathetic towards him. I mean George, George, George. Come on guys, that it was TALENT is about!!!
Lisa 11/13/2009 12:39 PM
Video video!!!! No video to be found of Darren anywhere. ???? Whant to show my friends how cool he was. Nothing on youtube or the website. Come on guys!!
Ugendren Pillay 11/13/2009 12:34 PM
What crap is this. Darren winning is a gross insult by the South African public to the true nature of talent. At best, he has a skill of learning and repeating some physical movements, but with not being able to feel the music he is unable to interpret it. I bet he would have still been wandering around the floor like a decapitated chicken if someone had the foresight to turn off the speakers and expose the sham. This is heresy, this is madness, this is a con. The people that voted for Darren have denied the talent of the other contestants - for now. You see, the novelty is going to wear off. In a few months he will be as forgotten as the equally talent-less Lendel Moonsamy. Maybe they can form a duo and prance around the next Minority Front breyani jol.
sessio 11/13/2009 12:33 PM
i am a well "abled" african man, i can hear clearly but i cant dance even if my life depended on it but that young man Darren has made heaven out of "hell" and i commend him on that and i say if we call him disabled then we are all disabled. BIG UP DARREN
MarcE 11/13/2009 12:25 PM
The show certainly proved that SA has got talent ! It also proved that SA is tone deaf when the voting public opted for Cleo
Mzeke 11/13/2009 12:19 PM
I loved every minute of the show. It must come back. CONGRATULATIONS to Daren!!!!
SB 11/13/2009 12:08 PM
Oh my oh my. Why all the fuzz? If you wanted your favourite to win, you had to vote. All those who made it to the semi-final amazed me and I didn't care who would win. Concratulations Darren. You rock!!! George, Loutjie,Kalon,Willem and Louis, Cleo you are all amazing and will make it far.
Erica 11/13/2009 11:52 AM
Don't you frinken nasty people realize that by dancing to a beat without hearing the music is a talent in itself. Let alone dancing that good. The boy has talent and if anyone felt any simpathy for him they were ridiculous coz as far as I'm concerned us "abled" people have more disablities than Darren who is hearing impaired but are so good @ something. HE DESERVED TO WIN!!!
Terri 11/13/2009 11:42 AM
After watching the show last night I am PROUD to say that I am South African. Well done Darren, George you are the man, I still get goosebumps just thinking about you, You are amazing George. Dont Stop Doing what you Doing. You made it and the whole of SA is so proud of you George. Wish I could get a cd of you your beats. Terri-Girl
Tanz 11/13/2009 11:36 AM
I really hope there is a second season! If anything the 1st season cemented the fact that SA DEFINITELY has talent in abundanceand not just great singers as seen on idols. My only dissappointment was with myself, for having missed most of the episodes at the start of the show. Well done to all the finalists, I think they worked their backsides off for the final and it clearly showed in their performances! I hope they all gain the recognition that they deserve!
Birdie 11/13/2009 11:28 AM
I have followed the show from the first episode and every episode has made me a prouder South African. We are such a lucky nation to have so many talented people where different cultures, religions, people and talents can come together and be respected for what they are. I have seen George perform live and he is absolutely brilliant - I have never seen his equal be it in this country or overseas and I think he has a very successful career ahead of him. However, last night my votes went to Darren. He impressed me so much and would have even if he was not hearing impaired. He deserves the title 100%. As for Cleo???? I'm sorry but she was not deserving of third place Louwjie definately deserved that spot!
Rami 11/13/2009 10:43 AM
George, i think you are gorgeous, wow....and that smile...shoooo?? ANYWAY, Boy, you've got talent. Two guys with two different talents.....i wouldn't wanna be the judge either. Well done to Darren, you really CAN dance.
FB 11/13/2009 10:29 AM
If we had all these critics to judge than the show would still be going on. Why is it that people cannot just accept that it was the majority of the public that voted for the best and although we all have our opinions in the eyes of the majority DARREN was the best. so love with it
Bev 11/13/2009 10:26 AM
What a super show, and what talent we have in S.A. my favourite was Louwtjie Rothman and he should get some sort of contract from one of the recording companies because this boy is going to go very far WATCH OUT WORLD
Curtis 11/13/2009 10:21 AM
last night was da best i reali enjoyed watchin da show and just reading some of this comments makes me actually think.....don't get me wrong george was amazing my money was on him but tink this way what if he had a disability lyk darren would he even considered of doin beatboxin in da 1st place.but i reali want him to come back next year he deserves that 1st prize.and please darren make us more proud and keep ur word by opening the school.......
Adam 11/13/2009 10:15 AM
The voting/popularity game is tactical. If pulling the sympathy vote is necessary to win why the hell not?

POST MY COMMENTS PLEASE 11/13/2009 10:12 AM
Even though Darren won the competition, George sure won the hearts of many a South African. @Megan J "how one human being can produce 5 different sounds at one time!!!!! " I second you on this. My question of early "Can George enter the next competition, I would love for him to win" I think the brothers should of taken 3rd position
WTF 11/13/2009 10:04 AM
SYMPATHY!!!! Although totally talented, Darren got more airtime with him thanking everyone and the emphasis on him opening a deaf dance school. It was not fair on the other contestant. Darren got more time on stage than any other person that was just wrong!!!!
Great Show 11/13/2009 10:02 AM
SA's got talent is a fantastic way to find and use the so many amazingly talented folk we have around South Africa. I just feel though that they should consider having diffrent categories. How do you compare a singer to a musician to a dancer to a magician.?
Anon 11/13/2009 10:01 AM
@disagree - u r entitled to disagree with almost everyone but nobody gives a sh*t. A second season - definitely,Far more entertaining than the current crap on tv.
KIKI 11/13/2009 9:54 AM
Darren is the man. He is the best. George is great aswell. Maybe we shud get George to beatbox n Darren can dance to it. That wud be good. Disagree if u think its SA's got Sympathy - why didnt u enter n lets see how far u make it
MeganJ 11/13/2009 9:48 AM
My comment today, is one of sincere awe, true admiration for the talent this country is producing. Congrats to Darren, truly a remarkable young man, who, has exceeded all expectations of people with a hearing disibility. I would however, like to state that George was my true "hero" of the night. Most people can dance, sing, and act, but a beatboxer, and might I add, an entertaining beatboxer, is a rare and unique talent. I am in complete amazement, to understand, how one human being can produce 5 different sounds at one time!!!!! George, the money would've been nice, but the title (in my personal opinion) belongs to you! You make me to be proudly South African today!!
Janice Johnny 11/13/2009 9:47 AM
Darren from the first day you walked onto the stage with your brother I LOVED YOU. I even told my husband i wish I could vote for him from Botswana because he is my hero. When you dance you bring tears to my eyes I would love to meet you in person, please send us your email address we would like you to come and perform for us in Francistown.
Ms b 11/13/2009 9:45 AM
Congrats to Darren for winning! You deserve it dude!! you were awesome!! I agree with the author about the cute kid routine in the final. It was obvious (to me) that Louwtjie should have had that spot. He made substantial progress, and i have goosebumps just thinking about his performance. Cleo did well, but not well enough to earn that spot.
Rashieda 11/13/2009 9:42 AM
DARREN TRULY ROCKED LASTNIGHT!!!!!! GEORGE WAS THE BOMB!!!!! THEY BOTH DESERVED TO BE IN THE FINALS,BUT CLEO, I'M SO SO SURE OF.I THINK LOUWTJIE SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN 3RD PLACE.I JUST LOOOOOVED THE SHOW LASTNIGHT!!!!! I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE OF WILLEM EN LOUIS.CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT SEASON TO START.
PEDIDO 11/13/2009 9:41 AM
Darren should be sent to the disgusting show Jika Majika hosted by Thembi to show those youngsters what dancing is all about.Kalon will put those kids to shame and i don't want him on that show because he'll cause a heart attack to some of the kids with disgusting moves. I watched other shows from other countries with the same name and i heard on Morning live this morning that the producers of the (international)show have said that this was the best of all shows ever with the most variety and talent. I'm proud to be South African and anyone who could not identify with the talent on that show does not belong here.kalon incorporated all dance moves from all races. This is what been a South African is all about. Not about colour.well done Darren.
Eugene 11/13/2009 9:41 AM
Darren is not that good a dancer compared to other dancers...BUT...and this is a big BUT...he can't hear the music! Wow...how incredible is that? But i must be honest, my fav has to be Goerge. Its incredible what he can do! I agree...although Cleo is cute, her singing is not up to scratch. Second season...I don't think so. Excitement about the show was not that much, plus way too much talk time given to the judges. But, if for whatever reason there's a second season, lets rather not include old ladies with dancing dogs and a "not-funny" guy dancing with an umbrella.
farida 11/13/2009 9:36 AM
Well done to all you guys,Darren you were the bom.you are all winners.Cleo you at least made it to the top three my darling there is much more in stall for you for the future god bless you for the future and hope you will take part in more talent shows
Deliena 11/13/2009 9:35 AM
I think S.A needs more competitions like that it will inspire the youth to do something constuctive with their lives.
POST MY COMMENTS PLEASE 11/13/2009 9:24 AM
I really admired George last night, and was hoping that he would win, what I saw in him was a young man that is not selfish and yet showed compassion, even before the announcement he kept on pointing to Darren. I knew when Shado said to Darren sometime back that she wanted him to win, it was from that evening that we all knew Darren would win. I dont think Cleo deserved 3rd place at all. SOUTH AFRICA TRULY HAS GOT TALENT......can George enter the competition again, I am so hoping he wins next time around
Sam 11/13/2009 9:22 AM
@Carol> well said. George was a trooper last night and even though he didn't win, it'll be a long time before anyone forgets SA's best beatboxer.
Lay Louw 11/13/2009 9:20 AM
I dedicate this to Disagree , all u got is jealousy.Disagree is Your name ,thats really quite lame...Well done Darren you derseved the FAME ... Ian Louw
CONGRATULATIONS DARREN 11/13/2009 9:19 AM
CONGRATULATIONS DARREN, I AM DURBANITE AND LIVE IN THE AREA YOU COME FROM!!!!!!!! YOU DESERVED THE WIN!!!!!!! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU. @Disagree 11/13/2009 8:24 AM HAVE YOU EVER TRIED ANYTHING, HE WENT AGAINST ALL ODDS.
Carol 11/13/2009 9:17 AM
My hat goes of to the extremely talented George who was man enough to accept that DARREN was the true winner. DARREN and GEORGE....you rock.
Ticked-off 11/13/2009 9:12 AM
I think Darren has got talent but George was UNBELIEVABLE! Whether sympathy vote or not some of the participants in SA's Got Talent are going very far in life with or without the R250 000!
Lady G 11/13/2009 9:12 AM
GO DARREN!! GO DARREN!!! GO DARREN!!! ALTHOUGH EVERYONE ON THAT STADGE DESERVED IT. GO DARREN, GO DARREN!!!!
Sandy 11/13/2009 9:10 AM
George should definately have won as his performance was the best. I feel that Darren only won because of disability. Cleo should never have been in the final 3, as there were better performances by other artists.
MyMind 11/13/2009 9:10 AM
I'm with you khosi he didn't pull his best yesterday however the symphathy yhap we are sympathetic yet that doesn't change the fact that he is so mhhhh Good
Khosi 11/13/2009 9:01 AM
Sympathy speech or not Darren taught me a life lesson. No one is going to make it happen for you accept yourself.Im inspired!!!!
Loved It 11/13/2009 8:59 AM
I must add that I am a bit dissapointed that the show was so rushed and short. They should stretch it out a bit next time. It was over to quickly. Shado was a very sweet judge, but the judges should have tried to give more constructive (non-sarcastic) criticism during the semis and finals rather than gushing and wiping tears. All acts could still improve in same way.
Megan 11/13/2009 8:59 AM
Big Ups to everyone, the public voted and thats that. Personally i think that they put too many talented people in the 1st semi's.Monday nights show was so star studded and it was difficult to choose who was the best
Julian 11/13/2009 8:58 AM
I really was very dissapointed in the outcome last night. George should have won it as he had a variety of "noises" etc. Darren was good, but please hear me I think he did a good job, BUT, if he had not been deaf would he have won??
Zee 11/13/2009 8:57 AM
Thanx SA, for a wonderful show last night!!! The contestants all tried their best and surely entertained the viewers. Darren, you are a real winner. George, you are amazing ! I would love to see more of you. Unfortunately I do not agree with the 3rd place. We also uttered a WTF..... Louwtjie's talent is unbelievable. He should've been 3rd. Think se got the votes because of the 'cute'factor. She still needs a lot of voice training. Cannot wait for the next show, SA sure has a lot of talent!!!
@JUSTIN 11/13/2009 8:57 AM
I totally agree with you. Darren deserved it, George shouldn't feel bad about it. He was beaten by the greatest. And cleo did well for the third spot
Loved It 11/13/2009 8:54 AM
Cleo let out a couple of false notes and Darren does the same robot/puppet on a string dance everytime. I really hoped he would show more variety last night, but he is a good dancer. Although no way that R250 000 will be enough to start his school! Kalon tried to fit too much gymnastics into his routine.
sheila arjuna 11/13/2009 8:52 AM
The show was amazing, people are sick with their critics though, l think if people have nothing good to say,...then SHUT UP, DARREN YOU ROCK DUDE, without music you dance so well, mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
khosi 11/13/2009 8:50 AM
I thnk they all did well.bt i thnk Darren's performance lastnight was not as good as the previous. He is a good dancer, and i think he can teach a lesson to all humans, that nothing is impossible as long as you put your heart to it.Great talent my boy. Bt i voted for George, its a pity he did not win. What an entertainer. Thank you SA
AMAZING 11/13/2009 8:48 AM
it makes me so proud to SA has such talented people...I feel the judges and the public were spot on....Darren deserved it, unfortunately I felt Louwtjie should have made the top 3 and know that George is going to go places, but well doneDarren...you are GREAT at what you do, and inspirational!
hearing disabled too 11/13/2009 8:44 AM
Ya, 'DISAGREE' typical comment from a person who has no BLINKING CLUE what it is like to have a hearing disablility. You can turn on the radio at any time and dance to music YOU CAN HEAR --- how about not being able to hear ANYTHING.... not even your mother's voice.... get real -for once HEARING DISABLED FOLK have had a turn in the spotlight - we are classed as brain-dead by many.
Confuzzled 11/13/2009 8:43 AM
Disagree, SA has sympathy? The man is deaf, feels the music and dances. Thats talent in itself. The BEATBOXER was awesome, so was Louwtjie. But its a democracy. Why didnt you send hundreds of sms's to influence the vote if you so strongly disagree? Hola Mzansi, there is loads of talent and congratulations to all who were brave enough to display it!!!
Jane 11/13/2009 8:43 AM
Darren is amazing!I really tried not to see him as a deaf kid, and putting that aside I was still amazed as his ability!I liked his semi-final performance better but the point is - that guy can MOVE! If anyone got the sympathy vote its Cleo - hopefully she'll learn to carry a tune in the future and not only be able to hit the high notes. Louwtjie was my favourite though - he should have won, but I dont mind that he didnt - he is going to make it big anyways. Now THATS talent!!
Thozie 11/13/2009 8:41 AM
George was my winner,Kalon is adorable. He’s got gorgeous smile. He was my 2nd position then third was going to be between Darren and the brothers. Cleo is cute but as she grows up she’ll be able to control her voice. But the majority ruled.Well done to the winner!
@ Disagree. 11/13/2009 8:38 AM
SHUT UP AND STOP BEING SUCK A PRICK! I think this guy was dope....(that means he ROCKED!) just clearing it for an old guy like u.....u Probably voted for the old lady's and the dogs from day one hey...HEHEHEHEHEHEH
Justin 11/13/2009 8:37 AM
I believe that Darren is a deserving winner. Forget the fact that he is deaf, he is truly an amazing dancer. He dances better than 99.9% of people who can actually hear. He seems to enjoy himself and can somehow feel the music. George is also great. He is a world class beatboxer but he was beaten by a truly great performer. I thought Cleo deserved her spot in the top 3. She has a great voice for an 8 year old and put in her best performance of the competition last night with a beautiful rendition of 'The Prayer'. Wow, I really loved the show. Cannot wait till next season.
Skeptic 11/13/2009 8:36 AM
All the contestants will be forgotten in a few months, except Louwtjie. His skills, technical ability, feeling for the genre, and showmanship will surely be noticed. He will be able to entertain for a prolonged period, without getting monotonous. The rest were all good, but Darren surely received the sympathy vote.
Frank 11/13/2009 8:34 AM
I've said it after last nights show, that it's going to be between George & Darren with Louwtjie in third. But Darren's performace last night had a few dull pieces and wasn't as electrifying as in the semi's. But I also think his speach, and not he's performance was the clincher. George was just awesome! Cleo hasn't got any idea how to use her voice yet and I was also shocked that she got third but we all knew a kid will get in there. One show I think was enough thou, it's going to turn boring after this.
Lynelle 11/13/2009 8:32 AM
For all you people who look down on the disabled amongst us this is 1 in your face - Darren is unbelievable he is super talented, he really deserved - CONGRATS - my 20yr old daughter was so blown away by his skill, she hopes he will teach hearing kids as well in the dance school he intends opening. Much Love Darren you make Durban proud!!!!!!!!!!
Babalwa 11/13/2009 8:28 AM

I am sorry, but I disagree with what you said above. Last night I did not watch SA's Got Talent but I watched SA's got sympathy. That speech about Darren opening a school for deaf children, clinched the deal for him. We was definitely not the most talented person on that stage. And Cleo deserved to be there, she sang beautifully.
