Cannes-ed Heat: Aishwarya Rai

The unrivaled beauty of Bollywood actress and model Aishwarya Rai is heating up the red carpet in Cannes.



Wow... those good looks have to be genetic. Ash (we're tight like that) was born in Mangalore, India on 1 November 1973 and grew up to be one smart cookie. After starting studies in architecture, she dropped that for modelling. That's smart financial planning.



In 1994 I got my first look at her when she won the Miss World title. She's still one of the most memorable title-holders to this day.

Ash married actor Abhishek Bachchan in 2007 and they're Bollywood's Brangelina. Actually, they're bigger than Brangelina. Aren't they adorable together?



Here the Bollywood beauty dons a traditional sari for the screening of Outrage at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival. Some celeb bloggers have made snarky comments about her 'finally' wearing something traditional. Whatever... if she's required to wear a sari then Salma Hayek must wear a poncho and a sombrero. Whatever she's wearing, she's always impeccable.
