One of South Africa's favourite actresses has decided to 'spread her wings'. Connie Ferguson, who plays Karabo on Generations, has resigned after 16 years on the show.
Connie confirmed the news on Twitter on Saturday. It seems that social networks are the preferred PR platform for celebrities these days. She tweeted "Morning Tweetfam. I have indeed resigned from Generations. My wings r taking me in a different direction & it's time for me 2 embrace my other God given talents. Have a Blessed Blessed weekend:-)"
She then responded to each and every mention that she received.
@samsung8 > Sweet. Thank u:-)
No, no Connie, YOU'RE sweet! Connie has played Karabo on South Africa's favourite show since its inception in 1994. Besides being an esteemed actress, Connie has released her own fragrance and done some commercials for Garnier skin products. At last year's YOU Spectacular Connie walked away with two awards - Most Popular Female Celeb and Favourite Actress. Her hubby Shona Ferguson also took home the Sexiest Man award. That's one hot couple!
She hasn't said what she plans to do now, but we think she deserves a holiday! Connie can still be seen on the SABC 1 soapie until October. What's your favourite Karabo moment? Let us know!
We'll miss you Connie and wish you all the best in your future projects.
