Fabulously famous at the YOU Spectacular

It must be so much fun to be famous! The outfits, the cameras, and of course the freebies! We did some major celeb-scooping at this year's YOU Spectacular awards last weekend to bring you everything that didn't make the TV edit.

First up we chatted to soccer star Mark Fish's ex wife, Loui. The twosome were nominated in the Couple of the Year category last year, but they've since split. Loui doesn't seem to be bothered by it, though. The stylishly single socialite and her last gift from Mark, her new Double Ds, were swanning around happily in a strapless dress and designer 5th Avenue (yes, NY) bling. Divorce sure is good for your social life and your bank balance, hey Loui?

We also chatted to axed Flash presenter Isabella de Villiers who plans to go into producing her own show. We can't divulge any details just yet, except that this girl's got a lot of spunk! And the best thing is she's looking hotter than ever! Take that, Rachel…

Mr SA Stephen Segal (yes, that really is his name) and his gorgeous wife also added their star power to the event. He's such a sweet and humble guy with a smile to melt your heart. What a pity he's taken. Ex Idols contestant Munro is available however, since he and supermodel Christina Storm have called it quits. Munro was spotted chatting to former model and actress Tanya van Graan. It's clear he has a type. Christina, on the other hand, was spotted at the OppiKoppi music festival in Northam doing freestyle raps! Could the former Terminatryx vocalist be delving back into a music career?  We hope not.

Elana Afrika is seriously in love. She and her hunky boyfriend Paul Wilson were cooing and wooing each other all night. If they weren't such a hot couple it could have been a bit gross, but it was sweet, and there were many jealous eyes in the room.
The cutest couple of the evening however was Connie and Shona Ferguson. The Generations actress walked away with two awards plus the grandest prize of all – knowing her husband had just been voted Sexiest Man!  Talk about star power…
Danny K and Lee-Ann Liebenberg weren't on hand to receive their award for SA Couple of the Year, so Danny's dad and Lee-Ann's mom picked it up. Very weird – where was the other half of the parental unit? I smell a skandaal!

One of the biggest surprises of the evening was when two of Jacob Zuma's daughters came onto stage to accept the award for Newsmaker of the Year on his behalf. They gave a touching speech and they are just too cute! Raising lovely daughters is at least one thing Jacob's done right.

Enough salacious gossip for the moment – the real reason we were all gathered at Emperor's Palace was to celebrate SA talent. Here's a full list of the winners.
