Gunning for Gareth

Gareth Cliff's comments about Manto Tshabalala-Msimang's death have sparked some web fury.

Of course Gareth Cliff had something to say about Manto's death. Of course it was shocking and controversial. Of course it got people's backs up. Isn't that his job?

Here's the infamous tweet:

Twitterville is up in arms about his disrespect for the dead. Gareth has always respected very little; this isn't as a big a surprise as people are making out. Some tweeters are also upset that his colleague DJ Fresh hasn't come out against him, and has simply said that he doesn't agree with Gareth's approach.

We are not here to pass judgement, and since Gareth is in the public eye, he'll be tried and judged that way too. He doesn't seem too phased about it, though. Hey, he's interviewed Jesus, remember? Untouchable! And you did vote him as your favourite radio personality of the decade.

Follow Gareth on Twitter to keep up with his latest spewings.
