Jeannie D bares her heart & her heavies for Rape Crisis

TV presenter and radio DJ Jeannie D is this year's Marie Claire Naked Issue covergirl.

It's that time of the year again. The Marie Claire annual Naked Issue is on sale now and features some of SA's most well known faces (and voices) standing naked to expose the harsh reality of rape in the country.

The Naked campaign ties in with Rape Crisis’s 1 000 Hearts campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the high level of rape in South Africa, while raising funds to help rape survivors.

Jeannie D is this year's covergirl, following in the footsteps of Ashley Judd, Gina Athans and last year's controversial cover model, Minki van der Westhuizen. There was a public outcry in response to her kaal pics in the mag. And she wasn't alone in receiving public disapproval. The picture of model Christina Storm and her then-boyfriend (hmm... a lot of break-ups after the shoot, hey?) Munro running around naked in the garden with a hose caused much upset. She is, after all, sweet Bienkie from Egoli. It was sad that an effort to highlight the real crisis of domestic violence (last year's focus) was skewed by prudish reactions. Ai jinne.

This year seems to have gone a lot smoother. Everyone keen to see Jeannie D and Idols' Jason get their kit off? Well, here you go!
Check out the photos of them from the Naked Issue here

Because these celebs aren't scared to bare their hearts and bums to at least start the discussion on how serious a problem rape is.
