Radio jock Jeremy Mansfield has bid farewell to his breakfast show, The Rude Awakening, after 13 years.

He's been on TV, written a cookbook, survived cancer, but most memorably, he's been the Highveld's wake-up call for 13 years! The presenter of Highveld Stereo's The Rude Awakening is hanging up his earphones.

He says "I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time with the show. Management and the Primedia Broadcasting Board have asked me to stay active in other areas of the radio business, which I am looking forward to”. Of course he's staying involved – he's the grand daddy of morning radio!

The Rude Awakening will continue with current team members Darren "Whackhead" Simpson and Sam Cowen. But it just won't be the same... will it?

Jeremy's last day on air will be Monday 12 July 2010.

Will you still tune in to The Rude Awakening once Jeremy's gone?
