John and Keri: amigos with egos

Video: Watch the video here

John Legend and Keri Hilson have arrived in SA. We went along to the press conference in Cape Town to see if they could handle our ruthless journalists.

Forget the Keri you've seen in pictures or videos: she's WAY more beautiful in real life. She's got killer cheekbones and she can rock killer heels, plus her adorable Southern accent makes her tastier than a KFC bucket!

And she knows it. When one of the journalists commented on her being "the hottest artist on the planet right now" she responded with "Well I don't know about that, but maybe the hottest in this room." Ouch! Well, she's probably right...

But not too bright. Keri tweeted yesterday: "Hopped on the cable cars to the top of Table Mtn. It is the highest mountain in the Southern Hemisphere." We're pretty sure the Drakensberg towers over Table Mountain. And to think Keri's sister was a teacher here at Cape Town High School (so she says). Tsk tsk.

John was a little quieter, shier and more demure than expected, but it just made him more attractive. He stuck to his guns and insisted it's all about the music. When asked how he deals with the impression that he's a 'ladies man' he exclaimed "Oh it's bad, it's awful!" But he knows that celebrity and rumours are part of the package when you're an international artist, and "there're worse things to be than a ladies man".

So does he sing for his dates? He says no, because they probably already know he can sing. So he tries to impress them with his charm and personality. But we're sure that's not really what they're interested in anyway.

Unfortunately for us though, he's taken. His super-hot girlfriend watched from the sides as he answered questions, so he had to count his words carefully.

Check out our gallery to see Keri's killer heels and John's massive sneakers.

John and Keri will perform in Cape Town on Thursday 15 October at Grand West Casino, in Durbs on 17 Oct at the ICC and in Jhb on 18 Oct at the Coca-Cola Dome. Hope you've got your tickets!
