Joost gets dumped

Joost van der Westhuizen, who often appears on SuperSport channels as a guest presenter, has been dumped by the channel following the recent developments in the Joostgate scandal.

Representatives for SuperSport apparently met with Joost to discuss the allegations. Now that the girl in the Joostgate video has come forward, it seems SuperSport no longer wants Joost appearing on their channels.

"SuperSport notes that the recently made allegations differ from previous allegations, in that same no longer emanate from anonymous sources."

They won't admit, of course, that they're dumping him: "SuperSport and Van der Westhuizen have mutually agreed that it will be in both parties’ best interests if SuperSport does not call upon Van der Westhuizen to render services to it until further notice."

Mutually agreed? We think not.

SuperSport added that they "respect Van der Westhuizen's constitutional right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty"
