Joost paying the price? Who's next?

First Michael, now Joost? What's going on, ask people all over the world wide web? Is God taking vengeance on has-been celebrities for their sins? Is the Lord cleaning house? Who's next... oh, please, not Schabir Shaik. That would be truly awful. Like a holy trinity of strike-me downs. One musician, one sports star, and a politician. What a tragic loss to our community!

Commenters on SA message boards seem to be divided as to whether onse held Joost van der Westhuizen's heart attack was caused by God's wrath over Joost's sinful lifestyle, or mean and evil strippers, who're out to get our poor sports heroes using their sexual wiles.

Cassie posted on local news website, IOL's message boards: "My heart goes out to the van der westhuizen family. Joost you are and will always be my star. Hoop daai vroumens en mense wat dit aan jou gedoen suffer die die res van hulle lewe. Kan hulle nie ons "heros" uitlos."

The word around town is, both these guys use drugs - Jacko was being injected with prescribed morphine substitutes by his doctor, and Joost apparently liked stimulants combined with booze and casual sex. Neither CAT nor Cocaine are vitamin C derivatives. They're not very good for your heart, especially when mixed with booze and late nights on a regular basis.

But if all this is bad for Joost's and his fans hearts, I gotta say, it's must be worse for poor Amor's. Go home, Joost. Get some sleep. And when you wake up, be a real man, and consider joining N A.
