Karen and Carien, sitting in a tree...

2010-04-07 17:14
Known for being one of the first controversial Afrikaans rock chicks in South Africa, Karen has had many journalists and fans speculating over her sexual preference over the last few years. What gave it away? Who knows.
According to her long-time friend Carien Loubser, it's been said that Karen has had relationships with women in the past. This was obviously before she decided to tie the knot with former husband "Die Prins van Prins-Albert" Don Reinecke. Carien says a third party, meaning another woman, wasn't the reason for Karen's broken marriage.

Karen and Carien, being in a ten year friendship, declined to comment on their relationship because it is a "private matter", though Carien knowing details about Karen's life - like her soon-to-start shoot on a Franz Marx film - may seem a tad bit suspect to some.

If Karen is gay, she should just come out and say it. She's a role model, who could inspire many people to be frank about their sexual preferences. A definite win-win situation for human rights... and gossip sites.
Rumours of Karen Zoid's alleged lesbian relationship with Carien Loubser, Cape Town based producer, entrepreneur and editor of Bravo! Magazine, proliferated when Carien admitted to being gay at the KKNK. publishes all comments posted on articles provided that they adhere to our Comments Policy.
