Meet SA's sexiest torso

Jaco de Bruyn has been voted SA's newest hottie in the 2009 heat Man Watch competition.

A few months ago, after a very confident chap proclaimed he's the hottest non-celeb in the country, heat magazine launched Man Watch 2009. Thousands of wannabe hotties sent in pics of their pecs and the readers had to vote for their favourite.

And Jaco is it! This 25-year-old estate agent from Gauteng says he's more than just a boykie from Olifantsfontein. He admits that he has had to work out religiously to achieve his tight-like-a-tiger torso. And it's paid off, as he was a runner-up in the Mr South Africa contest earlier this year, plus he's the reigning Mr Pretoria.

Sorry ladies, Jaco is happily married. He insists that his wife Renata is cool with all the attention he gets, because "she's the only one who goes home with [him] at the end of the day."

heat editor-in-chief Melinda Shaw was really relieved to meet Jaco in person when he was announced as the winner.  She says “There was a moment when I worried. What if the guy who got the most votes wasn’t as hot in person, or had grown a beer boep since his picture was taken? So we were thrilled when Jaco arrived at heat Towers. He is even hotter in real life than on his pictures!” Lucky us…

So what do you think – do heat readers have good taste in men?

Take a look at our gallery of Jaco and decide for yourself.

You might even see him in 7de Laan sometime in the future as his prize includes an audition for a part in the popular soapie. Hope he gets it – he's even started taking acting lessons!

Now ladies, before you start drooling on your keyboard, watch this adorable behind-the-scenes video of Jaco on his first photo shoot. We think he's got the Blue Steel down pat!
