Milla Jovovich's hands go blue on set

Milla Jovovich’s hands went blue on the set of The Three Musketeers.

The Ukrainian-born beauty, who plays M’Lady De Winter in the reimagining of the classic tale, says her outfits were so tight they cut off the circulation in her body, stopping blood from reaching her digits.

She even had to be cut out of her dresses on some occasions to get the blood pumping again.

She told the Hollywood Life website: “At one point I remember they put all this body make-up on my hands to make me pale and they looked beautiful, but once I got the costume on I came in and the make-up artist was like, ‘What happened to your hands?’ And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ I looked down and my hands were blue and looked bruised!

“We were trying to find all these different colour combinations to put on my hands cause all of a sudden my hands were blue and bloated and then we realised the arms of the costume were so tight it cut off my circulation so we had to cut the costume open to get the blood flowing and they finally went back to normal.”
Milla Jovovich’s tight outfit at the three Musketeers set stopped her blood circulation and led to her hands turning blue on set.
