10 photos of Shia LaBeouf’s transformation from a geeky kid to an arty hunk

Los Angeles – Shia LaBeouf recently made headlines in a messy plagiarism spat after it was revealed that his new short film, HowardCantour.com is based word-for-word on a comic by Justin M Damiano by artist Daniel Clowes.

He then raised even more eyebrows after admitting that he sent pictures of his penis to director Lars Von Trier's production team to land his role in Nymphomaniac.

And who can forget that Sigur Rós music video where you can see his willy?

Most recently the star shocked everyone when he announced on Twitter that he would be retiring from the public eye.

The 27-year-old actor said that he would be taking a step back from the limelight due to "recent attacks" against his "artistic integrity".

But before all this drama Shia was just another bright-eyed kid wanting to make it in Hollywood.
