7 former playmates re-create their Playboy covers

Cape Town – Who knew nostalgia could feel this sexy.

7 former Playboy cover girls re-created their iconic covers from decades ago and it’s sexier than you may think.

One of the cover models includes Candace Collins, who worked as a Bunny at the Chicago Playboy Club. When she was first approached to do the shoot, Candace wrote in a blog post: “I was thrilled and then terrified and then determined to make this shoot something I would be proud of and also, in a way, let the world know that women of a certain age still have a lot of fight and spirit left in them long after their '20s disappear.”

And boy did she, as well as the 6 other cover models, deliver!

Along with the then and now covers, Playboy also shared a little snippet of each woman explaining how they first got involved with Playboy.

SEE THE THEN AND NOW COVERS HERE:

1. Monique St. Pierre - November Playmate 1978

While Monique absolutely loved her experience with Playboy she reveals she was a model and already “kind of known” before her issue came out.

The 63-year-old lived at the mansion for a year and was always the “mama” in the house and she still is in her profession. “I run a recovery house for women addicted to alcohol and drugs. What I’m doing now is such an honour and privilege. I get to witness miracles.”

Reminiscing about her close relationship with Playboy, Candace said: “The Playboy photographers and assistants were all friends of mine. “I did a lot of test cover shoots... I now know just how special those shoots were and feel very, very lucky to be in such a unique sorority.”
