Cape Town - A tantrum a day keeps obscurity at bay.
Almost every celebrity (and human being) has had a moment where they lose any sense of being an adult and let their inner brat run wild. This week, Kanye West blasted Jimmy Kimmel on Twitter after the comedian's show made fun of the 'rockstar's' interview and his ego got a little bump on the head.
From singers to actors, we had a look at some of the most memorable celeb tantrums. When you see them coming, you should maybe start putting on some oven mitts.
Naomi Campbell
The model beauty is known for her diva ways, but her tantrum of tantrums led to her arrest on a British Airways flight. She had a fit when she was told one of her SIX bags was too heavy to be put on the plane and could either be forwarded to her or she could board a later flight. Neither options were apparently appealing to Naomi and reduced some of the staff to tears as officers were deployed to restrain her. She was removed from the plane kicking and screaming. Someone definitely needed a time out.
Britney Spears
In one of the most publicised celebrity meltdowns in the entertainment industry, a then-shaven-headed Britney lashed out with an umbrella on a paparazzi's car after visiting with her ex Kevin Federline to discuss custody of their children. It's been six years since, and the pop queen has been building up to a much anticipated comeback.
Elton John
What else would you expect from the guy who's documentary was named Tantrums and Tiaras? He's had so many public tantrums, especially on stage, it's hard to choose one, so check out the compilation of his famous hissy fits.
Christian Bale
He is our first choice for Batman, but he definitely wasn't for the poor director of photography of Terminator: Salvation who accidentally walked onto one of the actor's scenes and 'ruined' it. He even threatened to bail on the movie if the producers didn't fire the scene-ruiner. Best of all, the entire rant was caught on audio.
Taylor Swift
If you're known for being broke up with, you are entitled to some silly teenage love tantrums. The Trouble singer admitted that one of her most famous songs, Love Story, was written after she had the biggest teenage tantrum ever over a boy, and it involved the words, "But Daddy, I love him!" She slammed her door in full-on teenage hate and started writing the song. At least this tantrum led to something more positive.
Alec Baldwin
Of all his legendary rants, from bashing critics to dissing his daughter Ireland, this one rant actually made him disable his Twitter account. A journalist did a story around tweets that Balwin's wife supposedly sent while attending James Gandolfini's funeral. The 30 Rock actor of course went into a full on Twitter rage fest, even tweeting some homophobic jives at the journalist. Since then he's been flightless in the social media site.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Yes yes, this was only a sketch for Jimmy Kimmel Live, but this scene just highlights the ridiculousness of a tantrum, and no one will ever look good doing it. As Jimmy says, this is why she wins Emmys. (And the Kanye West jibe at the beginning of the video just makes us more suspicious about the rapper's current Twitter rant.)
