Akon disputes Ebola claims

Cape Town - After performing a show in the Democratic Republic of Congo where he trapped himself in a plastic bubble, Akon is left having to defend himself against the media and public scrutiny.

The Locked Up hitmaker has been receiving a lot of backlash from people who are saying he performed his show in that fashion to isolate himself as a means of protecting himself from contracting Ebola, a deadly disease Africa is currently battling with.

But Akon took to Instagram to set the record straight and tried to vindicate himself from the claims.

My aim now is to find a way to stop Ebola before it spreads. Let's all come together and make that happen
