Amanda Bynes bails out on 3rd hearing

Los Angeles - Amanda Bynes has pleaded not guilty to two charges of driving on a suspended licence.

The former Nickelodeon star did not appear in court in Burbank, California on Monday, but her lawyer entered the plea on her behalf.

The 26-year-old star was formally charged in September with two counts of driving with a suspended licence after two incidents at Burbank Airport in California.

While her attorney defended her in California, Amanda chose to remain in New York.

Total of five criminal charges

The troubled starlet faces a total of five criminal charges, including a driving under the influence (DUI) charge, two separate hit and run accidents along with the two counts of driving on a suspended license.

Last month, the Easy A actress pleaded not guilty to charges relating to the hit and run cases.

Amanda claims to have retired from acting and has displayed erratic behaviour in recent months. Her agent, publicist and entertainment lawyer dropped her soon after they struggled to get in touch with the star for almost four weeks.

She is currently living in New York where she is attempting to launch a fashion line and has said she has no plans to return to California.
