Amanda Bynes' parents heading to LA

Los Angeles - Amanda Bynes' parents have moved to Los Angeles to help their daughter get her life back on track, reports TMZ.

The family of the troubled actress who recently had her car impounded and her driving licence suspended, have already leased out their home in Cedar Park, Texas, and intend to sell it so they can be by her side.

Sources close to the family say they have no plans to pursue a conservatorship which would give them legal control over Amanda, but they want to be on-hand to support their daughter.

Good news for Amanda

However, there was some good news for Amanda after a Beverly Hills judge ruled on Wednesday that she won't have to post the $50 000 bail for her driving under the influence (DUI) case.

The district attorney argued that Amanda, who failed to show up to court, should be ordered to put up $50 000 bail pending her trial on 29 October, saying the bail was needed "for risk of public safety".

Judge Elden Fox chose not to impose the request because the incidents happened prior to her licence being suspended, explaining: "Technically, Ms Bynes is not in violation of order not to drive without a valid driver's licence."

Misdemeanor timeline

On 5 June, the starlet was officially charged with a DUI due to an arrest in April, in which she allegedly ran into a police cruiser with her BMW.

She also refused to submit to a sobriety test at the time of her arrest. On the following day, her attorney entered a not guilty plea on her behalf.

Earlier in September, the former child star was charged with two counts of misdemeanors including a hit and run for accidents that occurred on 1 April and 4 August.
