Los Angeles - Amber Heard is given a "monthly allowance" by Johnny Depp.
The Magic Mike XXL star is reportedly given the hefty sum of $25k from her husband to spend on whatever she wishes.
A source told Star magazine: "[She] can easily blow through her designated monthly allowance - rumoured to be $25k and he won't say a word because he's afraid of losing her."
It will come as a shock to fans after the 29-year-old beauty previously referred to herself as "fiercely independent".
Speaking of married life, she said: "Nothing is a dramatic change. We've been together for a long time now, so it's been a fairly organic process.
"I have a fiercely independent spirit. I fall in love [with Johnny] again and again."
Amber also admitted she never wants to lose the freedom she's worked hard to make for herself.
She added: "The thing that really scares me is the potential of losing my freedom. I never want for my life to lose the ability to transverse the world, with freedom and ease - the freedom and ease I have worked so hard to acquire for myself.
"I feel like I'm constantly fighting against my exterior, or this exterior presentation of myself because of how I look or perhaps because of who I'm with."
