Cape Town – Bette Midler called Ariana Grande out on her provocative music videos earlier this week and Ariana isn't taking it lying down.
The young singer took to Twitter to call Bette out on losing her "feminist personality" in a rather sweet but sarcastic tweet:
all love here ?? pic.twitter.com/BocrzJEgUj

To rub some salt on the wound Ariana referenced The First Wives Club, a popular movie Bette Midler starred in, in 1996, that highlights women empowerment when three divorcees plot revenge against their ex-husbands.
and I will still quote first wives club every single day of my life lmao

Not one to shy away from a public dispute, Bette replied with:
About my screed on @ArianaGrande , all I can say is, "Spoken like a reformed old whore! She does have a beautiful voice, on a couch or off."
