Los Angeles - Christian Bale is to become a father again.

The 40-year-old actor and his wife Sibi Blazic are reportedly expecting their second child after the brunette beauty was spotted with a blossoming baby bump at the Oscar awards, held in Los Angeles, last week, according to E! News.

The American Hustle star remained tight-lipped about possibly becoming a dad again at the glamorous event, but was spotted pointing at his wife's stomach when he bumped into a friend.

Christian already has eight-year-old daughter Emmeline with Sibi and previously gushed how being a father is “the best thing ever”.

He said in 2012: “Nothing can prepare you for fatherhood. It's the best thing ever.

“I don't want to leave my daughter's side for one second.”

Meanwhile, the hunky star, who married his beau in 2000, never planned to tie the knot after watching his loved ones go through a bitter divorce when he was younger.

He explained previously: “I never planned to marry. Everyone was divorced in my family so I didn't have very healthy ideas about marriage. Then I met Sibi and suddenly it seemed a fantastic idea.”
