Bobbi Kristina Brown's case has been handed over to the DA

Los Angeles - Authorities are taking a "greater interest" in what happened to Bobbi Kristina Brown.

The aspiring singer was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Atlanta home on 31 January and police investigating the circumstances of the tragedy have now forwarded their findings to the District Attorney.

Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr. said: "The Roswell Police Department has forwarded its investigative file to our office. In view of the new circumstances regarding the health status of Bobbi Kristina Brown, we will be reviewing the case with greater interest."

Despite the news coming a day after conservator Bedelia Hargrove filed a $10m lawsuit against Bobbi's boyfriend Nick Gordon, claiming he violently assaulted her during a "loud argument" just hours before she was found lifeless, the office insisted their statement wasn't in reaction to that case.

The DA's office added: "This is in reference to the investigation by the Roswell Police Department ... and isn't associated with the filing of the civil lawsuit."

No charges have yet been brought against anyone.

The statement added: "An announcement regarding a charging decision, if any, will be made at the appropriate time."

If was announced on Wednesday that Bobbi Kristina - who is the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston - has been moved to hospice care as her "condition has continued to deteriorate."

A source told gossip website TMZ.com that her family made the difficult decision to take her off all of her medication so she can die naturally after a specialist informed them there was "no hope" of recovery.
