Bobby Brown and Pat Houston appointed as Bobbi Kristina's guardians as it is revealed that her condition remains the same

Atlanta — Bobbi Kristina Brown's father and aunt have been appointed co-guardians of the ailing daughter of the late Whitney Houston.

Lawyers for Bobby Brown and Pat Houston issued a joint statement on Friday saying that judge Jeryl Debra Rosh appointed them to have joint responsibility in decisions related to Bobbi Kristina's care and medical needs.

The statement also says lawyer Bedelia Hargrove was appointed conservator to oversee Bobbi Kristina's assets, including her rights and legal claims.

The decision comes after the 22-year-old was found face down and unresponsive in a tub at her Georgia home on 31 January. She has been moved to an undisclosed location since being released from an Atlanta hospital in March.

Brown's lawyer, Christopher Brown, said in a statement in April that Bobbi Kristina has opened her eyes, however her condition is reportedly not progressing.

When asked about the state of her granddaughter's health, Cissy Housten said: "It's the same, she's not progressing at all."

However, Cissy insisted she's prepared for whatever happens to Bobbi in the coming weeks and months.

She told Entertainment Tonight: "She's not gone yet, but you know, whatever the lord decides, I'm ready for her ... I have nothing to do with that. That's his job. It's his territory, you know? And I understand it."

Cissy also voiced her support for the decision to make Bobby Brown and Pat Houston Bobbi Kristina's co-guardians.

She said: "It was fine. We're a family ... that works together for the best. You want the best for whomever or everybody we can."

Last month, Cissy - the mother of the young star's late mother Whitney Houston - said Bobbi had suffered "irreversible brain damage".

She explained: "I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive." publishes all comments posted on articles provided that they adhere to our Comments Policy.
