Los Angeles - Brad Pitt has reportedly inspired Shia LeBeouf to do more charity work.
The Fury star, who was arrested earlier this year for disorderly conduct and was later admitted to rehab for alcoholism, is determined to overhaul his image.
A source said: "Shia realises that he messed up and doesn't want anyone to think that he can't recognise that. There's no question - he knows that earlier this year he was out of control.
"At this point, Shia wants two things to be at the forefront - his acting and helping others."
The 28-year-old star has been looking to his 50-year-old co-star for inspiration.
The insider said: "Brad's involvement with global causes is something that Shia admires.

"Shia wants to show people that he's more than an entitled Hollywood punk. He's actually a down-to-earth guy who's been through a lot - and he's still aiming to come out on top."
The actor is also eager to make amends with his mother, Shayna.
The source told US OK! magazine: "Shia loves his mom and will do anything for her. He still has a hard time forgiving himself for disappointing her in the public eye."
