Britney Spears bought her boyfriend a horse

Los Angeles - Britney Spears bought her new boyfriend a horse for his birthday.

The 33-year-old singer, who celebrated Christmas with her writer-producer beau, Charlie Ebersol, and her children, Sean, nine, and Jayden, eight, last week, splashed out on a dark brown steed for his recent 32nd birthday and also purchased a light brown pony for herself.

The Perfume hitmaker shared photographs of them riding their new pets around a stable on Twitter on Tuesday, writing: "Birthday horses for my birthday boy".

She also presented him with a huge cake covered in romantic photographs of them together, in addition to images of other couples.

It appears the blonde beauty spared no expense on the gifts despite the fact she only started dating Charlie in late October.

I believe it's clear that I won the birthday cake war!

Rumours recently began circling that he is planning to propose to the Piece of Me hitmaker after receiving her father Jamie Spears' blessing.

A source said previously: "Charlie pitched Jamie about casting Britney in a new reality show, and Jamie thought he was a really good guy. They've been moving closer at light speed, and when Charlie suggested to Jamie that he ask for Britney's hand in marriage, Jamie quickly said yes."

Britney started dating Charlie just two months after she split from her legal researcher David Lucado after 18-months together amid rumours he cheated on her.
