Chad: I'm glad Avril is steering our ship

Los Angeles - Avril Lavigne is "steering" Chad Kroeger through "uncharted waters" with their engagement reports BANG Showbiz.
The Nickelback frontman isn't worried, as his fiancee has been married before to Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2009, and means she knows the best way to plan their nuptials.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "If you're travelling through uncharted waters, it's always nice if you've got someone steering the ship who's been there before."
Chad, 37, also revealed one of things he loves about 28-year-old Avril is that they have so much in common as musicians.
Couple shares touring stories
The Lullaby singer says he and Avril often share touring stories and the intimate knowledge of the music industry that they have.
Chad, who has just released the band's seventh album Here and Now, explained: "She's toured so many times, it's strange because when I talk to her, she talks about production, she talks about how difficult it is - timelines for shipping things overseas, and whatnot.
"It's mind blowing because I just look at her and we can talk. Music we can talk, touring we can talk. About anything, and we have so much in common, it's just fantastic."
