Charlie Sheen tweets 'Naked' juice pic

Washington - Troubled actor Charlie Sheen posted a single tweet on his newly-created Twitter account on Tuesday, after over 200 000 people signed up within hours to follow him on the micro-blogging service.

The tweeted picture showed Sheen - who let rip in a series of TV interviews on Monday prompting his publicist to quit - with a woman leaning into camera and holding a bottle of "Naked" juice drink.

Dressed in a backwards baseball cap, Sheen - known for his hard partying - is seen holding a healthy milk drink, as the pair stand over a kitchen top, smiling into the lens.

"Winning...! Choose your Vice..." the tweet said, adding a link to the picture.

Rejected concern

It was not clear if the woman was one of the two girlfriends Sheen announced he was living with in an interview with the TMZ celebrity website on Monday, dubbing them his "goddesses".

The @charliesheen account had attracted more than 220 000 followers just hours after it was created - and verified by Twitter.

His followers were delighted by the lone tweet, with some saying they were ready to party with him.

In a series of rambling interviews on US television shows, Sheen railed against the producers of his hit TV show, Two and a Half Men, demanded a 50% pay rise and vowed to sue over its cancellation.

The star, who was briefly hospitalised in January after a mega-party at his Los Angeles home, also rejected the concern of his actor father Martin, calling it the "gibberish of fools".

Hours after the interviews, Sheen's publicist Stan Rosenfield announced he was quitting.
