Los Angeles - Charlize Theron admits she finds it "so hard" to be away from her newly adopted son.

The 36-year-old Snow White and the Huntsman actress had to leave baby Jackson at home while she attended last night a Human Rights Campaign gala on Sunday, and confessed it was no easy task.

She said: "He's doing great. It's very hard for me to leave the house now so you know how important this is because I was like standing at the door going, 'Ah, this is so hard!'"

Babysitting duty

Honoured with the Ally For Equality award for her advocacy work for the LGBT community, she told the audience: "Marriage equality is about more than just marriage. It's about something greater. It's about acceptance (...) I will always be your cheerleader and I will always be your friend."

Chelsea Handler hosted the event and joked that despite her aversion to kids, she has managed to maintain her friendship with Charlize.

She told E! News: "I love Charlize. She's got her little baby now, she's a mother. That was almost a reason I stopped being friends with her because I try not to be friends with too many mothers, but we worked through it."

Although she isn't quite ready to sign up for babysitting duty. She added: "I don't think anyone would ask me to babysit."

In the old days you got yourself a trophy wife. Seems these days the trophy for the rich and famous is a little black baby.

Good grief!! I vever realised she is so DOFF!! When I read the way she is quoted as speaking (and not only here) it seems she cannot string together a properly constructed sentence! And then she speaks with a yank accent? What's that all about Ms. Benoni? Or is it Boksburg?

If she were any relative of mine I would disown her completely. what really gave me the zig about this female was some 2-3 (or was it 3-4) years ago when here in South Africa, she declared on TV: "I Lo-o-o-ove you, Mr. Mandela..." in that fake American accent and crying 'snot-en-trane.' Generally speaking, I get on well with DECENT blacks, as I prefer speaking to them in isiZulu, which most do understand, but as for Mandela - well, everybody - or rather - most (mainlhy libtards) regard him as a 'saint,' forgetting, or conveniently ignoring the fact that he is a terrorist and murderer... But Charlize "loves" him... EISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the celebs kids turn to be wash-outs due to a lack of familly life, love & disiplin, so please, putting on fancy cloths having a fancy house and a full tome nanny means nothing without the most important basics of life.
