Chris Brown's former partner fears for daughter's safety after gunpoint robbery

Los Angeles - Chris Brown's former partner fears their baby is no longer safe at his house.

Nia Guzman, who has 13-month-old daughter Royalty with the 26-year-old singer, is reportedly deeply concerned about his ability to protect her after his aunt was held at gunpoint by burglars at his Los Angeles home in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

A source close to the brunette beauty, who had a fling with the star while he was still dating Karrueche Tran, claims she believes many of Chris' friends are in gangs and the robbery suggests they have now turned on the Loyal hitmaker.

The insider told gossip website TMZ.com that Nia doesn't want Royalty to be exposed to a dangerous environment and it could hurt the Fine China hitmaker's attempts to secure joint custody of their little girl.

Chris' mother Joyce Hawkins also believes the terrifying ordeal was an inside job.

Shortly after the news broke that three armed men in balaclavas stole money, a laptop and cellphone from his property before locking his aunt in a cupboard, Joyce tweeted: "Watch who you standing beside."

Chris was not at home when the incident took place, as he was hosting a party at the Argyle club to celebrate the launch of his latest single, Liquor.

He later returned to the property and left with his aunt at approximately 4am.

The robbery is still being investigated by the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division.
