Chris Hemsworth: Fatherhood changed me

Los Angeles - Chris Hemsworth says fatherhood has changed him "for the better".

The Thor: The Dark World hunk welcomed daughter India Rose with his wife Elsa Pataky in May 2012 and thinks he has grown as a person since having a child.

Quizzed whether fatherhood has changed him, he said: "Yeah, for the better. It puts things into perspective."

However, the doting dad is disappointed he won't be able to spend Father's Day - which takes place on Sunday - with his 13-month-old daughter as he will be busy working.

Special family time

He told E! News: "I think I'll be working. But I'll see her at some stage, definitely. Have a little breakfast or something. She's a bit young to make me breakfast. She's only one."

Devoted father and husband Chris, 29, married Spanish actress Elsa, 36, in December 2010 after they met through their management firm.

Although the burly star may play the screen as superhero Thor, he admits he is no match for the ladies in his life when he's at home.

He said: "I'd love to be man of the house but with my wife and now my daughter I don't think I'll ever hold that title! They certainly run the show."
