Chris Martin spends weekend with Gwyneth Paltrow

Los Angeles - Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow spent the weekend together in the Hamptons.

The former couple, who announced they were "consciously uncoupling" in late March after 10 years of marriage, reunited at their home in the exclusive enclave near Long Island, New York to spend some quality time with their daughter, Apple, 10, and son, Moses, eight, over Labour Day Weekend.

The duo were spotted taking their children out for a casual breakfast on Saturday morning, according to E! News.

The Coldplay frontman and the Iron Man 3 actress, who both recently started dating other people, parted on good terms and vowed to focus on taking care of their children.

A source close to Gwyneth, 41, previously said she is "very happy" that her estranged husband, 37, has moved on with Jennifer Lawrence, 24.

The Magic hitmaker started dating The Hunger Games beauty in June, and is said to be smitten with her.

Gwyneth, who started dating Glee and American Horror Story co-creator Brad Falchuk earlier this summer, has given the new couple her blessing.

The insider said: "Gwyneth is very happy for Chris, that he has moved on and found someone else. Their split has been remarkably amiable and they both just want the best for one another."

"Chris is very drawn to her Jennifer's personality, and ambition and talent. There are actually some amazing similarities between Jennifer and Gwyneth and how they view life and career, and so Gwyneth knows that ultimately Jennifer has the power to make Chris happy in the long term, that's all Gwyneth wants for Chris.

"They might not be a couple anymore, but they will always be co-parents and best friends."
