Cape Town - Angelique Gerber, better known as Clara from 7de Laan and also new presenter of kykNET's Boer soek n vrou, attended the launch of the 46664-book in London where she met Bond girl, Eva Green.
Gerber attended the function as ambassador for the 46664 bracelet initiative.
The new 46664-book consists mostly of photographs and explains how the initiative came about.
The 46664 initiative gives people living with HIV/Aids a chance to earn an income. They are taught to make jewellery and more than 150 people have been permanently employed as jewellers in businesses.
Every year a special bracelet, the Legacy, is made by a designer. The bracelet is then auctioned off, after which the proceeds are donated to children who have lost both parent to Aids.
This year SA designer Oresti Mavrodaris was asked to design the Legacy bracelet. It is made of iron wood with gold rings around it and has gold detail on the inside that looks like tree branches. The bracelet is also decorated with diamonds and other precious stones.
