Danny DeVito's flirting caused split

Los Angeles - Danny DeVito's wife left him because he was always allegedly flirting with other women.

The Lorax star's 30-year union with Rhea Perlman was said to have been on the rocks for a decade, as she became increasingly upset with his wandering eyes.

A source told RadarOnline: "He may not appear to be a ladies' man, but Danny certainly gets a lot of female attention.

"Danny can be quite the flirt and because of his powerful status in Hollywood, he's not ashamed to abuse his position and chat-up young, aspiring women looking to make it in the industry.

"Despite his reputation as a lovable, funny guy in movies and on TV, Danny's actually quite the womaniser.

"And, like a lot of red-blooded males, if he sees an attractive girl in a coffee shop or walking down the street, he will give her the eye.

No more blind eye

"After years of turning a blind eye to it, Rhea finally snapped. She had enough of his bad boy behaviour and wanted an end to their marriage.

"The break-up has been on the cards for a long time, probably over 10 years, because they haven't been happy for a long, long time."

Danny and Rhea announced their split on Monday. They have three children together; Lucy Chet, Grace Fan and Jacob Daniel.

Danny - who is five feet tall - has often talked of how he learned to charm women in his bachelor days, saying: "I learned how to dance real good. I had to, because [girls didn't want to] slow dance [with me]."
