David Arquette: It's definitely over

Los Angeles - David Arquette insists his marriage to Courteney Cox is definitely over.

The former couple - who have seven-year-old daughter Coco together - announced in October 2010 they were taking a trial separation from their 11-year marriage but now David has found love with reporter Christina McLarty, he is adamant he will not be reuniting with his estranged wife.

DJ Howard Stern asked him: "If Courteney said to you, 'David, I made a mistake I want to work on our marriage. I want you moving back into the house, I want you to break up with that girl. I know we have to do this for our daughter.' Would you consider it?"

The actor replied: "Uh, I mean, no."

The 40-year-old actor also revealed both he and Courteney broke down when he told her about his new relationship.

'We both cried'

Asked by Stern how she responded when he told her he was in love with Christina, he said: "She was sad, we were both sad. We both cried."

David - who made a series of intimate revelations when his separation from Courteney was made public - recently insisted he no longer wants to talk about his personal life but admitted he finds it difficult not to be "honest".

He said: "I'm trying to keep my personal life personal. It's very hard for me because I'm a very honest person."
