Demi Moore and Rumer Willis make up

Los Angeles - Demi Moore has reconciled with her eldest daughter Rumer Willis.

The 49-year-old actress, whose divorce from estranged husband Ashton Kutcher has reportedly turned nasty as they attempt to divide up their vast fortune, is relieved that her 24-year-old daughter recently agreed to meet her for the first time in months amid rumours of a rift after being encouraged to contact her mother by her actor boyfriend Jayson Blair.

A source told Star magazine: "Jayson has been telling Rumer for ages that she needed to forgive her mom and move on. She finally gave in and made the call.

"He knew that deep down Rumer really missed her mother and wasn't going to be happy until they made up."

Emotional reunion

The emotional reunion, which is said to have occurred at Demi's Hollywood home at the end of last month, is the first known step that mother and daughter have taken to get their relationship back on track and both are said to be very happy to be communicating again.

It is not known whether Demi's two other daughters Scout and Tallulah have also made peace with their mother.

The family are said to have fallen out during Demi's stint in rehab earlier this year, during which her daughters were reportedly considering getting a restraining order against her because of her erratic behaviour and all the "drama".

Demi absent from party

A source said at the time: "Demi has been calling them incessantly and emailing them, leaving them tearful messages and begging them to call her and the girls are sick of it.

"It is a really drastic measure and not something they are considering lightly but they just feel like they want some peace and quiet."

Demi was noticeably absent from Rumer's 24th birthday bash in August, which was attended by all of her other family members including her father Bruce Willis.
