Rumer's sister Scout, 23, added: "Obviously we're ecstatic! It's been such an amazing process but this is like unbelievable for our family and for Rumer. It's been such a magical experience and there have been so many beautiful people involved in this production and this show."
Demi, who regularly supported her daughter in the audience alongside ex-husband Bruce Willis, previously admitted she found it "thrilling" to watch Rumer compete on the series because she thinks she is very talented.
She said: "It is thrilling! I am so proud of her and excited for people to be seeing what I have seen since she was a little girl. She is incredibly talented, and I love seeing her light shine!"
Rumer is now planning to carve out a career as an actress and singer on Broadway.
