Los Angeles – It's over for Dexter stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter.
Gossip website justjared.com reports that a representative for the couple has confirmed their split, saying "Having been separated for some time, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall have filed for divorce".
Michael and Jennifer met on the set of the Showtime drama Dexter, where Michael plays the lead character and Jennifer plays his foster sister Debra.
The pair eloped on December 31, 2008 after dating for approximately a year and a half.
Hall was treated for Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2010 and is now cancer-free.
