Elvis Blue welcomes second daughter

Cape Town - Elvis Blue announced the birth of his second daughter with wife Chiréze to the world at 07:10 on Friday morning from a hospital in George.

The singer and former Idols winner turned to Twitter to share the news, tweeting, "My daughter (Jua Hoogendyk) was born this morning.She is just perfect and beautiful.Proud of my wife for being so strong.Thank you friends." (sic)

Elvis also told Facebook fans: "My Daughter (Jua Hoogendyk),born today was not in the world for one minute and she had to pass her first test under many lights and with many doctors poking and looking at her."

"She passed with flying colors. A healthy, beautiful little girl. I hope to make this wild and crazy world better for her and plan to do so for as long as I live. I am so proud of my wife for being so exceptionally strong. Thank you for all of you who are supporting us." (sic)

YOU magazine spoke to the Save Me singer soon after the birth: "It's unbelievable. I'm happy and nervous and excited," he exclaimed.

New arrival Jua weighed 3.2kg at birth and has already met her big sister, Lila, 3.

"It's so big and exciting for her. She could barely hold her little sister," Elvis said.
