Emma's 'extreme' love turns violent

Los Angeles - Emma Roberts and Evan Peters have a "pretty extreme" relationship.

The 22-year-old actress was arrested and released without charge after a domestic violence incident involving her boyfriend in Montreal, Canada, last week, but the couple "are crazy in love" and plan to stay together.

A spokesperson for Emma, who was photographed crying in the 26-year-old American Horror Story star's arms on Tuesday, told UsMagazine.com: "It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it."

'They are crazy in love'

A source close to the star - who is Oscar-winner Julia Roberts' niece - said: "Emma is very dramatic. They will not break up. When they are good, they are crazy in love."

But the insider said the couple's violent altercation on July 7 went "way out of control", explaining that Emma can get "wound up".

Another source close to the actress insisted that the couple, who began dating a year ago, are "inseparable".

The source said: "They're a couple young kids. Their romance is pretty extreme. They just behave in a way that's very passionate."

Local law enforcement sources previously said that the couple were overheard fighting in their room and someone in their hotel called the police.

Police officers immediately arrested the actress after arriving at the scene and witnessing Evan's bloody nose.

The actor also had a bite mark on his body.

Emma was released hours later as Evan declined to press charges.
