Henson, 44, will write about her childhood in a rough Washington, DC neighborhood, being a single parent and her film and TV roles.
She also appeared in the films The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Hustle & Flow and Baby Boy and was an Emmy nominee for the TV movie Taken from Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story.
