London - Pippa Middleton has been voted the woman with the most desirable skin tone.
The sister of Britain's Duchess of Cambridge – who rose to global fame following a turn as her sibling's maid of honour at the April 29 nuptials to Prince William – took 60% of the public vote in the survey, with Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole coming in second.
Really on Freeview's Clare Laycock, who commissioned the questionnaire to mark the launch of the channel, said: "Our study shows that, while it's tempting to go overboard on the beach or with fake tan, this August a more natural colour is most popular.
"We all know people who come back from the salon more tangoed than tanned - now they have the perfect tan-tone chart to guide them on their tan choices for the summer."
Former US X Factor judge Cheryl Cole took 26% of the vote, while TV presenter Christine Bleakley won 8%, coming in third.
A total of 2 000 women aged between 18 and 44 were asked to rate their favourite skin tone, with Pippa's 'Royal Mocha' coming out on top.
